Environmental policy

We will comply with all relevant legal and other requirements as a minimum and are committed to reducing the impact of our operations by initiating improvement programmes; setting, reviewing and monitoring environmental objectives and targets.

In particular we shall:

• Use resources wisely by minimising resource use and reusing or recycling materials where practical.
• Ensure the efficient use of energy use in our buildings and processes.
• Control Pollution, minimise the quantity of material burnt at each site, consume resources efficiently and use materials that minimise the impact of our operations where practicable.
• Consider environmental issues when selecting our suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure the safe transport, use, storage, handling and disposal of hazardous materials and substances.

Implementation:
We will ensure this policy is effectively implemented throughout our operations by:

• Providing sufficient resources to enable the effective implementation of this policy.
• Training all our employees in order that they understand the environmental impacts and requirements of their activities.
• Engaging with suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors to ensure that they comply with this policy and other relevant standards when providing goods and services.
• Conducting a regular review of our environmental impacts, and performance towards achieving our environmental objectives and targets throughout the organisation.
• Reviewing this policy and its effectiveness on an annual basis at the highest level within the organisation.
• Communicating and consulting with employees, and other interested external parties.
