Safety and Arming

Scope
Leafield Engineering designs, qualifies and produces a variety of safety & arming mechanisms. Leafield Engineering also routinely undertake explosive filling, proofing and packing. The activity spans from motor initiation systems through weapon break-up units to warhead initiation equipments.

Technology
Although primarily focussed on electro-/pyro-mechanical systems, Leafield Engineering has design, manufacturing and testing capabilities of electrical and electronic products.

Applications Include
Torpedo fuzing, Seaslug Mk. II, Sea Skua, MFBF, and more recently, the UK Precision Guided Bomb and Next Generation Light Anti-tank Weapon (NLAW)
