The Company

Leafield was founded in 1992 and its core business concerned the management of naval stock for the range of vessels originally operated by the Royal Navy but which are now in use serving overseas navies. We were, and remain, specifically responsible for the disposal of naval material declared surplus by the UK Ministry of Defence. Over recent years this core business has developed to cover a much wider range of services but the link to the UK Ministry of Defence and the Royal Navy in particular remains one of the key aspects of the business.

The company currently services customers across 16 countries and operates from its headquarters and storage facility in the South West of England, some 70 miles west of London.

We offer a comprehensive range of services to the UK MoD, Foreign Governments and a range of commercial enterprises including:

• Off the shelf access to a vast inventory of ex Royal Navy material
• Providing world class supply chain and logistical support, including product sourcing, to foreign navies and to commercial enterprises around the world
• Managing the maximisation of value from end of life products for commercial customers as well as the UK MoD
• The repair and overhaul of critical components for global defence contractors and second use asset destinations
• Engineering support
• Inventory and obsolescence management
• Excess stock management programs for both government and private enterprise

Current expansion programme

We are currently working with a leading industry partner to create the capability to support a range of gas turbines post the cessation of OEM support.
